Healthcare Jobs / Health Care Occupations

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) healthcare occupations and industries are projected to add the most new jobs between now and 2022 . They project that healthcare jobs will increase to 15.6 million or by 10.8 percent over the next 8 to 10 years. These projections do not take into account the many additional healthcare providers that the Veterans Administration must hire under the new VA Health Care Overall legislation that was passed by Congress and signed by the President.

This new law budgets $16.3 billion to improve veteran’s care which requires the VA to hire thousands of healthcare specialists including doctors, nurses and other health professionals. The VA has a thousand staffed facilities and more offices will be leased under this new law to better serve our veterans.

Many agencies hire healthcare specialists and professionals. We include government and private sector healthcare vacancies in our consolidated healthcare job listings. This provides job seekers the broadest possible pool of job options to choose from. You can compare salaries, location, and benefits between the private and government sectors and seek out jobs that are best suited to your needs. All federal jobs are advertised through comprehensive job announcements. Read them thoroughly before applying to ensure you submit all required documentation including a federal resume which differs considerably from a short private sector resume.
